TMG by Magellan Health to Expand Statewide in Wisconsin
Expansion will help eliminate wait lists for people seeking long-term
care services
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Magellan
Health (NASDAQ:MGLN) today announced that TMG by Magellan
Health, which helps participants self-direct their services through
Wisconsin’s long-term services and supports (LTSS) program, known as
IRIS, will expand to the remaining seven of Wisconsin’s 72 counties
beginning on July 1, 2017 through early 2018.
IRIS is a self-directed, home- and community-based, long-term care
option for older adults and people with physical and developmental
disabilities. TMG is an IRIS Consultant Agency (ICA), which receives a
fee from the state of Wisconsin to provide experienced local consultants
who partner directly with people who choose to self-direct their
services. The main goal of this program is to enable people to remain
independent, in their own homes and communities, with choice and control.
“By expanding its service area statewide, TMG will support individuals,
many of whom are currently on wait lists, self-direct the services they
need to live independently and achieve their goals,” said Amie Goldman,

TMG will expand into Vilas, Oneida, Forest, Florence, Taylor and Adams
counties beginning on July 1, 2017, and into Dane County in early 2018.
The IRIS program and TMG ICA services are currently available in 65
counties across Wisconsin.

Since 1986, TMG
has been supporting people with disabilities and older adults across
Wisconsin in home and community-based long-term care. In 2008, TMG
became the state’s first IRIS Consultant Agency, and currently serves 94
percent of IRIS participants across 65 counties in Wisconsin. TMG staff
includes over 300 community-based IRIS consultants. In 2016, TMG was
purchased by Magellan Health.
