Ex-Buffalo Bill denies he’s running for Congress

BUFFALO, N.Y. /AP — One thing former Buffalo Bills running back Thurman Thomas says he won’t be running for is Congress.
After a reporter’s tweet indicated that the Hall of Famer would run against Buffalo Democrat Brian Higgins Wednesday, Thomas answered with his own tweet denying it.
According to the Buffalo News, Thomas tweeted: “Why, so I can have a bunch of clowns ravage my personal life? No thanks!”
His wife and daughters also chimed in with denials.
Thomas is a Republican who has been politically active in recent years.
