District 13 (Upper Manhattan, Harlem, Fort George, Morningside Heights and northwest Bronx): Candidates: Rep. Charlie Rangel is defending his seat against three candidates: Adriano Espaillat, Clyde Williams, Joyce Johnson and Craig Schley. Our recommendation: Vote for Adriano Espaillat.

District 7: Sunset Park, Williamsburg and Bushwick in Brooklyn; Fresh Pond and Woodhaven in Queens; and Loisaida in Manhattan. Candidates: Rep. Nydia Velázquez defends her seat against Council Member Erik Martin Dilan. Our recommendation: Vote for Nydia Velázquez.
District 6: Flushing, Fresh Meadows, Forest Hills and Ridgewood in Queens. Candidates: Grace Meng and Rory Lancman for the seat left vacant by Democratic Rep. Gary Ackerman, who is retiring. Our recommendation: Vote for Grace Meng.
