Chunky Indian guacamole
Of all the recipes I have tried and altered, this one has to be the most special. To begin preparing this dish, you will need several ingredients:
In a bowl, combine the onion, tomato, garlic, and avocado. Squeeze the lime into the bowl and then add the salt, cumin, and curry powder. Stir everything well but be careful not to mash the avocados too much; you want to leave them chunky. Once you are done, give it a quick taste. If you feel you need to add ingredients, go ahead and do so. Just be careful! You can always add a little more of everything, but you can’t subtract. When you are happy with the flavor, take tortilla chips or pita bread and start eating away!
Since this recipe is very spicy, you can make it milder by forgoing the jalapeño or using only half the specified amount of hot sauce.
In a bowl, scoop the avocado from its shell, mashing it very slightly. Stir in the onion, tomato, garlic, jalapeño, lime juice, hot sauce, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Just as with the chunky Indian guacamole, taste and adjust as needed. Then, enjoy!
As a refresher, you may want to serve up a nice cool drink with this spicy dish.
