Between work, school, and home responsibilities Latina women often have bad eating habits. Some do not eat well, and others eat only unhealthy food. Green juices have always been known to work miracles on one’s health, but many people do not know their benefits.

A good diet requires vegetables, fruits, carbohydrates, and proteins–a bit of everything, but in moderation. Why do people tend to eat an unhealthy diet? Many people dislike vegetables, but these are an important part of one’s diet. Drinking a green juice is a good way to take in all those nutrients you’re lacking when not eating vegetables and fruits.

Different types of juices

There are different types of juices : some are pasteurized and others cold-pressed. Pasteurized juices are the ones sold at the store. These juices go through a high heating process that kills bacteria, but this process also kills live enzymes and minerals that are good for your body.

The heating process also allows the product to be conserved for longer periods of time. Green juices are cold-pressed, so you are able to get all the good nutrients these vegetables and fruits offer. Cold-pressed process extracts the juice from vegetables and fruits by squeezing the juice out. Many juice stores are now selling these types of juices.

What types of juices should I drink?

Experts say it is best to make juices out of green leaves. Vegetable juices are lower in sugar rather than juices made of fruits . If it wasn’t for the fiber amount that fruits contain, you’ll be drinking a lot of sugar, which will make you gain weight. It is also good to avoid mixing fruits with vegetables because these are broken down differently by your body.

Benefits of green juices

  • They contain large amounts of minerals, nutrients, and enzymes .
  • They are energy boosters.
  • They improve blood circulation.
  • They cleanse your digestive system, lungs, liver, and uterus.
  • Green leaves contain vitamins A and C, which help absorb calcium into the body better.

If you have a hectic schedule and it is hard to get your lunch in, try having a leafy green juice for lunch. You can refrigerate a cold-pressed juice for up to three hours. It can replace your missed meal, providing you with many nutrients, minerals, and enzymes. But even though green juices have great benefits, it is better to try to eat your regular lunch meal and drink the juice as a healthy snack!
