Getting dolled up for Holiday parties is one of the most glamorous parts of the season. If you are looking for new ideas for fabulous hair, you are in luck. Celebrity stylist Mario Anton, and Unilever ViveMejor spokesperson, offers these three hair looks .
“Everything that is in is very vintage, very sixties-inspired. Its the same with beauty thick eyeliner, thick eyebrows, pale lips [are in style],” says Anton. ” Have fun doing your hair . If you feel inspired to wear something different, these just take a few minutes to create.”
Big, full waves and a deep part in the hair were seen on Fashion Week runways and can be recreated for your favorite event. To get the look, start with the part! ” I recommend working with your natural part ,” Anton says.
“To find your part, wet your hair, brush it back and then push your hair forward. Where the hair breaks, is your natural part.” (If you try to part your hair in another spot, by the end of the night your hair will try to part on its own, ruining your look, he says.) Blow dry your hair in the direction you want it to set , create your curls with hot rollers or a curling iron, and brush them out.
If you have naturally curly hair, brush out those curls as well. You want the final result to be full and fluffy. Depending on your hairs texture, your do might get frizzy , so use some Argan oil to keep that to a minimum.
Sleek low ponytail
This is another very easy do , says Anton. You can wear your ponytail, on either side, or down the center of your back. His favorite ponytail look, is very straight hair with neat, sleek hair around your crown. Once you have your hair as straight as you prefer, simply hold the look together with a rubber band .
Grab a small section of hair, wrap it around the rubber band and tuck the ends under the base of the ponytail. “Once you have everything styled, I usually recommend using a good hairspray. Dove has an Strength & Shine Extra Hold Hairspray that ensures youll have a nice look the whole night.”
If you are going to be out at a night, Anton recommends a 60s-style updo. “Updos are always a great choice,” says Anton. “Backcomb the hair on top of your head to create a lot of volume.” Backcomb just the internal hair , and brush the hair to the back. Then, create a French twist or a high ponytail with a lot of volume. This style also looks great with a heavy bang, he says.
No matter what style you choose, make sure your look is polished. Start with a good blow dry and retouch ends with a curling iron or a flatiron, says Anton. And, dont forget the right product to protect the hair, like a good oil or leave-in conditioner to help prevent styling tool burn and reduce frizz. Dove Thermal Replenishment Spray can help protect hair from hot irons and curlers. For more info, visit ViveMejor.com
