Being a celebrity can be pretty awesome, but I wonder, how can these eye-candy men and women keep flawless at all times?
Most figures under the public eye may rely on plastic surgery to keep their grace and others are just naturally gorgeous.
Some artists, however, follow the footsteps and advise of the most important women in their lives.
Two very successful and very beautiful Latina women in Hollywood revealed beauty secrets that they picked up from their mothers.
Oscar-winning actress of Mexico descent, Lupita Nyong’o, unveiled the unique beauty approach that her mother Dorothy uses for a clear complexion.
“The best beauty trick my mother taught me was to use garlic on zits – it dries them out,” the 31-year-old told Style.com, according to Xpose Entertainment.
“You want to do it at night so you don’t walk around smelling like garlic all day… nobody would want to be your friend.”
Salma Hayek, 47, not only gets beauty inspiration from her mother, but also by being one.
“My mother taught me these three magical words: don’t overdo it,” Hayek told Style about make-up tips she received from her mother.
“I stay consistent with the basics and stay away from aggressive ingredients.”
Her 7-year-old daughter Valentina, on the other hand, challenges Salma to be more playful with color.
“She is obsessed with color on her fingernails and will wear a different shade on each nail,” the Mexican beau said.
“While I won’t go that far and prefer a more natural look, it can be fun to experiment with new shades that are out of my ordinary palette.”
