Pitbull is angry and sues ‘The Pit Bull’

He’s the man behind the 2014 FIFA World Cup official song, “We Are One (Ole Ola)”, featuring two gorgeous women Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte, all the reason to celebrate. But behind close doors, Pitbull is not a happy camper.

Pitbull is angry and on the mission to stop a booze company from using his name on their alcoholic beverage.

The Cuban-American rapper filed a federal lawsuit against E. & J. Winery & New Amsterdam Spirits Company over a vodka recipe they’re pushing called “The Pit Bull,” reports TMZ.

Though the cocktail sounds “delish” –a mix of New Amsterdam vodka, lime juice, grapefruit juice and lemon-lime soda– the popular singer wants the company to stop distributing the drink with his name.

Mr. Worldwide, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, trademarked his distinguished name in 2002.

The lawsuit claims that they are using his artistic name to sell the product and that the recipe is confusing the marketplace. He is suing the California-based company for all profits New Amsterdam makes off his name.

He also wants “Pit Bull” removed from the company’s website, since the cocktail is featured on both print and online promotional material.

Indeed it teases the marketplace, as the 33-year-old singer is already owner of Voli Spirits, a low-calorie vodka line.

Ironic enough, his vodka company was recently sued after being involved with the tragic maritime death of a young man at a Voli promotional event in Miami, Fla. last month.
