Senator Ted Cruz probably isn’t a fan of vampires. This past Sunday the popular show “True Blood ,” poked fun at the Texas senator and Cruz wasn’t flattered.
The episode, entitled “Lost Cause,” depicted a fictional fundraiser held in Cruz’s honor at the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas. It was even (fictionally) covered by the Dallas Morning News.
The show is known for taking jabs against conservatives and this episode wasn’t an exception, with the main characters referring to the people attending the gala as “a**holes” and with one character referring to Republicans as “republi-(see you next Tuesday).”
The same character later said at the gala:
“Of all the horrible things Ive seen over the last 100 years, this could be the most disturbing.”
According to My San Antonio, former Governor Sarah Palin was also targeted in the episode and piggybacking on Senator Cruz, Palin slammed the vampire drama.
The brilliant minds of True Blood were brazen enough to ask me to do a cameo on their show, apparently so they could insult a conservative woman in person instead of just all conservative women in general, Palin told Breitbart News. Their offer wasnt presented in any negative way, perhaps to benefit from a surprise factor after the guest appearance. I turned them down anyway.
Cruz took to his Facebook page to share his feelings on the matter calling the show “misogynist”:
He then took to Twitter to say this:
Then again, I guess I never had a chance w/ the vampire vote since the dead tend to vote overwhelmingly for Dems: http://t.co/U6uCqsRpuS

Wait a minute … Did he actually just say something clever?
