AECOM receives perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index

Named one of the Best Places to Work for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual
and Transgender Equality in the United States

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced
today that it has earned a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights
Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and the
distinction of “Best Places to Work for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and
Transgender Equality” in the United States. The Corporate Equality Index
is the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices
pertinent to LGBT employees.

“This year’s perfect rating from HRC reflects our ongoing commitment to
promoting a culture of inclusion and diversity, which is key to
attracting the brightest minds in our industry and driving our
continuing success,” said Michael S. Burke, AECOM’s chairman and chief
executive officer. “With more than 87,000 employees in 150 countries,
our diverse workforce enables us to better understand our clients and
the communities in which we live and work. We’re proud to be an
inclusive employer of choice.”

AECOM is dedicated to fostering an environment free of discrimination,
harassment and ensuring equal opportunities in all areas of employment,
including recruitment, hiring, training and promotion. Diversity and
inclusion is embedded in AECOM’s core values and is a key driver of our
success. The perfect score puts AECOM among the top-ranked firms within
the engineering and construction sector.

“We strive to create an environment where our LGBT employees and allies
feel empowered and valued,” said Mary Finch, AECOM’s chief human
resources officer. “We realize that this work is never finished and we
are determined to continue to ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace
for every one of our employees around the world.”

The
Human Rights Campaign
and Foundation
together serve as America’s largest civil rights organization working to
achieve LGBT equality. By inspiring and engaging individuals and
communities, HRC strives to end discrimination against LGBT people and
realize a world that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all.
The CEI criteria reflect leading policies, benefits and practices for
the LGBT workforce and their families in the United States. For more
