AMC Theatres® Brings Blockbusters Back to the Big Screen for Charity with AMC Cares Summer Throwbacks

LEAWOOD, Kan.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Six of this year’s top 15 box office grossing films will hit AMC
theatres this summer for a good cause with AMC Cares Summer Throwbacks.
The amazing film lineup, which will play nationwide in 197 theatres,
kicks off with PADDINGTON on Friday, June 12. Tickets went on sale
today, and proceeds will benefit the AMC Cares Fund and Brave
Beginnings
, a program of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers
Foundation.

AMC Cares Summer Throwbacks features some of 2015’s biggest and best
movies, as well as the second-biggest film at the box office in 2014,
HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY, PART 1, which guests can see in advance of the
final installment in the popular HUNGER GAMES series this November.

  • Another fan-favorite franchise and top-grossing film, MISSION:
    IMPOSSIBLE GHOST PROTOCOL is part of the AMC Cares Summer Throwbacks
    lineup and plays the week leading up to the opening weekend for
    MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE NATION.
  • Boredom busters for kids on summer break include THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE:
    SPONGE OUT OF WATER and PAUL BLART: MALL COP 2.
  • Guests have another opportunity to see FURIOUS 7, the second-biggest
    film of the year to date, on the big screen.
  • Date night heats up this summer with FIFTY SHADES OF GREY.
  • Laughs are non-stop with A-list comedic actors, Kevin Hart and Will
    Ferrell in GET HARD.
