Babyation Closes Successful Kickstarter Campaign after Raising $81,045

Discreet, App-Enabled Breast Pump Moves into Production; Available
for Pre-Order Today

ST. LOUIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Babyation,
a company dedicated to redesigning the breast pump with modern moms in
mind, today announced the close of their Kickstarter crowdfunding
campaign. After 30 days, Babyation raised $81,045 with 427 backers for
their low profile, smart breast pump that makes pumping more discreet.
Babyation will now be accepting pre-orders on their website – www.babyation.com
– and is scheduled to ship March 2017.

Samantha Rudolph, co-founder and CEO of Babyation, was disappointed that
with so much innovation and technology available to us, there had yet to
be any significant improvements to the breast pump since it was first
patented in 1854. “I always knew I wanted to be a breastfeeding mother,
but I was outraged to find out that breast pumps were decades out of
date,” said Samantha. This realization sparked the idea for Babyation’s
breast pump and was brought to life with the help of her co-founder and
engineer husband, Jared Miller.

“We are extremely thankful to all those who contributed to our campaign,
and thrilled to be able to take our idea to the next stage and begin
production on our innovative breast pump,” said Rudolph. “Mothers
deserve a discreet and updated option, and we cannot wait to bring it to
market.”

Babyation has created a breast pump worthy of 2016, which doesn’t rely
on bottles that hang off of the breasts. Other revolutionary features of
the Babyation breast pump include:

  • Quiet: Sound reduction allows women to multitask and pump
    noiselessly.
  • Discreet and Comfortable: Breasts stay covered in this
revolutionary form factor. Additionally, the low-profile breast
shields are designed to mimic the action and feeling of your baby.
  • Smart: Innovative app allows for customized presets, data
logging and control of the pump by smartphone or tablet.

Set to ship in March 2017, Babyation’s breast pump will be available for
$400 via pre-order, $50 below retail cost. To pre-order Babyation’s
breast pump or for more information, please visit www.babyation.com.
