LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Barrett-Jackson,
The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions®, will feature an
extraordinary docket of collectible Chevrolets during the 8th Annual
Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction, held Sept. 24-26, 2015, at the
Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The predominantly No
Reserve auction’s exciting line up of Chevrolets will include a
two-owner 1968 L88 Corvette (Lot
#738
) with only 24,760 actual miles.

“The L88 Corvette is at the forefront of iconic performance vehicles,”
said Craig
Jackson
, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “As someone who has
collected cars like this, I have a strong appreciation of them. This
particular 1968 L88 we have consigned to our Las Vegas auction
highlights an exceptional selection of Chevys crossing the block at No
Reserve.”

The 1968 L88 Corvette (Lot
#738
) has been enjoyed by the current owner for the past 38 years.
This two-owner Corvette includes a period-correct drive train with a M22
Rock Crusher 4-speed, 4.11 rear end, and includes a 427/430 horsepower
L88 engine. This Corvette features several original pieces, including
the original Build Sheet still glued to the gas tank along with the
original leather interior, factory radio delete, removable back window
and the original spare tire, which has never been on the ground. Unlike
many L88s, this particular car escaped the days of SCCA racing, with the
original body free of accident damage.

Additionally, one of the most anticipated consignments is a black 1969
Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Twin Turbo (Lot
#739
) powered by an all-aluminum 496ci big-block Chevy based on a
Donovan block. The full custom chassis with Corvette 4-wheel independent
aluminum suspension is all carefully engineered to fit beneath the stock
sheet metal and houndstooth interior. This Camaro also features a
one-of-a-kind dual plenum sheet metal aluminum intake manifold, which
sits on top of the engine and is fed by dual throttle bodies and
direct-port fuel injection.

“I’m excited about the high quality of collector Chevrolets making an
appearance on our Las Vegas block,” added Steve
Davis
, president of Barrett-Jackson. “Many of these Chevys have been
meticulously restored and cared for and will make a prized addition to
any garage.”

Also included in the Las Vegas docket is a breathtaking Pacific Sunset
Fusion Orange ’55 Chevrolet Nomad Custom Wagon (Lot
#745
). Under the hood of this custom Chevrolet is a 2002 Corvette
pro-built all-aluminum 5.7-liter engine that produces 386 horsepower at
the wheels and 435 horsepower at the flywheel, and is managed by a
Dakota Digital VHX full gauge and engine management system. The interior
is custom-wrapped in a pleather vinyl with German wool carpets with
special polished stainless strips to protect the cargo area.
