Charlotte (Carrie) Walsh Joins Susan G. Komen® as Senior Vice President, Marketing

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Susan G. Komen this week welcomes North Texas marketing executive
Charlotte (Carrie) Walsh as Senior Vice President, Marketing, of the
world’s largest breast cancer organization.


“Carrie brings outstanding credentials from Fortune 500 companies –
including two of Dallas’ best-known companies – and we are delighted to
welcome her to the Komen senior leadership team,” said Komen President
and CEO Judith A. Salerno, M.D., M.S.

Reporting to Salerno, Walsh will lead Komen’s Marketing, Brand, Digital,
Events and Communications organizations.

Walsh most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer, U.S., of YUM!
Brands/Pizza Hut, which she joined in 2012 as Vice President of National
Marketing. Prior to YUM! Brands, Walsh built an impressive record at
PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, where she started as a marketing intern in 2003 and
advanced through the ranks to senior director in 2012, leading various
Frito-Lay brands during her tenure as well as managing portfolio
marketing and strategy for PepsiCo across food and beverages.

She was named a Palmer Scholar at The Wharton School, University of
Pennsylvania, graduating in the top 5 percent of her class with a
Masters of Business Administration in Marketing and Strategic Management
in 2004. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International
Relations from Brown University.

Walsh is a native of Warwick, Rhode Island and currently lives in
Frisco, Texas, with her husband and three children.
