ChildFund’s Davidson Jonah wins prestigious award for work in conflict/disaster zones around the world

RICHMOND, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Davidson Jonah, ChildFund International’s field operation support
director for global operations, has been named the 2016 recipient of the
prestigious InterAction Security Advisory Group Distinguished
Achievement Award. The annual award recognizes exceptional performance
by NGO security professionals, particularly those who significantly
contribute to NGO’s abilities to protect their personnel, assets,
information or operations overseas.

“My determination has always been to discharge my responsibility with a
passion and to make a difference,” said Jonah. “I am honored that my
efforts are appreciated. Thanks to ChildFund for giving me the space, to
my many colleagues with whom I have interacted around the globe, and to

Jonah first joined ChildFund in his home country of Sierra Leone in
1985. He has worked for ChildFund in places like Chad, Guinea, Uganda,
Kosovo, Columbia, Liberia, Philippines, Senegal and Indonesia.

six individuals and groups to be honored by InterAction for outstanding
leadership in the effort to help the world’s poorest and most vulnerable
