Co-op City Joins e-cycleNYC Program

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Electronic
Recyclers International (ERI), the nation’s leading recycler of
electronics, has announced that Co-op City, the largest co-op housing
development in the world, has joined the e-cycleNYC program.

News of the 50,000 resident, Bronx-based development comes on the heels
of news last month that the groundbreaking electronics recycling program
had surpassed the 1 million mark in terms of residents being served.

The e-cycleNYC
program is a public-private partnership between New York City Department
of Sanitation (DSNY) and ERI. Fully funded by electronics manufacturers,
the program is free for NYC taxpayers and participating buildings.

With the program, New York City-area buildings with at least 10 units
can receive on-site pickup of stored electronics, including TVs,
monitors, computers, laptops, small servers, printers/scanners,
tablets/e-readers, mobile phones, MP3 players, VCRs/DVRs/DVD players,
video game consoles, cable/satellite boxes, fax machines, keyboards,
mice and hard drives.

are available, including storage bins, room clean-outs and building
