Eaton’s Staci Kroon Named to List of 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry by Automotive News

GALESBURG, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Power management company Eaton announced that Staci Kroon has been named
one of Automotive News magazine’s 100 Leading Women in the North
American Auto Industry. The recognition identifies her as one of the
leading female executives among automakers, suppliers and dealerships.
Kroon’s achievements were celebrated at a gala event on Monday, November
9 at the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center in Detroit.

“I am greatly honored to be included among this group of outstanding
women executives who are leading the automotive industry,” said Kroon.
“I also want to thank Automotive News for recognizing our
collective achievements, which serves to encourage women to advance in
the workplace and pursue careers in this exciting field.”

Kroon currently serves as executive vice president, Eaton Business
Systems, a position she has held since September 2015. Prior to that she
was president, Automotive North America for Eaton’s Vehicle Group since
January 2013. She has held numerous other business, manufacturing and
plant management positions at Eaton since joining the company in 1996.

“A comparison of the 2015 and 2010 Automotive News lists of 100
Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry confirms that the
status of women in the industry has improved,” said Mary Beth Vander
Schaaf, managing editor of Automotive News. “There are six CEOs
among automakers and suppliers on the list this time, up from two in
2010 — the last time the list was compiled. Among the 2015 honorees, 73
have executive officer titles or are owners of their companies. That’s
up from 63.

“Our selection committee made many difficult decisions,” said Vander
Schaaf. “The talented, powerful executives on this list are at the
forefront of thousands of successful women in the auto industry.”

A key focus area of involvement for Kroon has been with local STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) educational organizations,
which encourage young people to get engaged in these areas both through
their schools and with outside entities.

“I really believe this recognition by Automotive News can serve as
encouragement for young women to consider STEM education and careers,
particularly in the automotive industry,” said Kroon.

Automotive News has been compiling the list of 100 Leading Women
in the North American Auto Industry every five years since 2000.
