First Annual Keurig Green Mountain Supplier Award Winners Announced
WestRock Receives Keurig’s Highest Supplier Honor
WATERBURY, Vt.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–At its 2016 Top 100 Supplier Conference, Keurig Green Mountain, Inc.
(Keurig), a personal beverage system company that has revolutionized the
way consumers create and enjoy beverages, announced the recipients of
its first annual Supplier Recognition Awards. Sixteen companies were
awarded honors in four categories: Supplier of the Year, Top
Performance, Most Improved, and Keurig Values. Touching all aspects of
Keurig’s diverse supply chain, the winners were selected through a
robust nomination process combined with rigorous evaluations of the
supplier’s 2015 performance.

Supplier of the Year:
Awarded to a supplier based on a
combination of high performance, demonstrated commitment to Keurig’
values, and a significant achievement which deserves recognition
WestRock
Keurig’s 2015 Supplier of the Year award was presented to WestRock, a
leading global packaging company that has worked with Keurig since 2007.
In 2015, WestRock partnered with Keurig to pioneer the launch of a
Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program which resulted in superior
flexibility, improved service, and significant cost reductions. WestRock
has physically embedded Six Sigma black belt resources in several Keurig
production facilities to help support the VMI program, optimize the
supply chain, and drive immediate responses on service and quality.

its second annual Top 100 Suppliers Conference in its Burlington, MA
offices. Created as an embodiment of the company’s value of partnering
for mutual success, the event brings together Keurig’s best suppliers
from across the globe to share best practices and collaborate for the
betterment of the business. This year, the benefits of this gathering
extended into the community as over 100 suppliers and Keurig employees
volunteered for local non-profits during the week.
