Convenient On-Demand Donation Service Now Available to Frisco
Residents

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#AmericaRecyclesDay—PICKUP^®,
the Instant Delivery service featuring Good Guys and their trucks, along
with Goodwill
Industries of Dallas, Inc., jointly announce they will team up and
offer a special program in honor of America Recycles Day coming up on
November 15. The program will include special priced on-demand donation
pickup services to Frisco residents living in the 75033, 75034, and
75035 zip codes, as well as discounted donation pickups for residents
and businesses located in the Dallas area.

“We know donors are busy, and that’s where PICKUP was the ideal partner
because they provide the convenience our donors are looking for and also
supports our mission to create job opportunities,” said Steve Toledo,
Chief Operating Officer, Goodwill Industries of Dallas.

Last year, Goodwill Industries of Dallas diverted over 27 million pounds
of donated items from the landfill. This consists of donations such as
clothes, shoes, small appliances, books, bicycles, home décor,
kitchenware, electronics and more. Additionally, they diverted more than
two million pounds of electronics consisting of computers and computer
related peripherals from landfills thanks to their partnership with
Dell, called Dell
Reconnect.

allows members of the Frisco community easy access to donating their
gently used items. We thought America Recycles Day was the ideal time to
test this solution and raise awareness of the importance of donating for
both the environment and our mission,” continued Toledo.

America Recycles Day is a national initiative of Keep America Beautiful
and is a nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting environmental
citizenship, encouraging individuals to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Goodwill Dallas and PICKUP are proud to be hosting a recycling event
supporting this initiative as the US EPA estimates that the average US
citizen throws away approximately 70 pounds of clothing or other
textiles per year.

“We are honored to be working with Goodwill to collect donations,” said
Brenda Stoner, chief good guy. “The process is really simple – all
someone needs to do is schedule what day they would like PICKUP to come
by during the event, leave their donations in a box or bag at their
front door, we will pick up the goods and provide a donation receipt.”

love to help and serve in their community,” said Darren Waxman, chief
marketing guy. “This is just one extra opportunity to give back to the
community we call home.”

PICKUP will collect donated items for the America Recycles Day program
from November 14-16. There are two featured promotions being offered:

• Residential and business donations scheduled within Frisco (zip codes:
  75033, 75034, and 75035) will be offered a discounted flat rate of $20
  and receive a $20 PICKUP gift card for use in the future.
• Donors throughout Dallas outside of those Frisco zip codes who
  participate will receive 20 percent off their PICKUP made during the
  three-day period, with promo code GOODWILL.
