Gryphon House Releases Thrifty Teacher’s Guide to Creative Learning Centers

LEWISVILLE, N.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#centers–It’s a common dilemma in early childhood classrooms: how to provide new,
interesting learning experiences on a shoestring budget. Gryphon
House, Inc.
has released a book that will inspire teachers with easy
and affordable ways to breathe new life into preschool learning centers. Thrifty
Teacher’s Guide to Creative Learning Centers
pulls from the
decades’ worth of experience of authors Shelley Nicholson, PhD, and
Jessica Martinez.

Going beyond tips for sourcing found and recycled materials, Thrifty
Teacher’s Guide to Creative Learning Centers

uses color photos and simple instructions to explain how to
create new materials, integrate them into classroom learning centers,
how to get children started on using the materials, and how to scaffold
learning with open-ended questions.

“Many teachers struggle with providing fresh and engaging learning
materials for their classroom centers,” Nicholson
said. “In this book, we have compiled a multitude of ideas for helping
teachers spark new learning experiences for preschool children that have
been tested in our own classrooms and are based on best practices.”

Thrifty
Teacher’s Guide to Creative Learning Centers
will be widely
available June 1, 2017. The book is available for preorder now. To
