Mexican pop duo Jesse & Joy announced this morning the kickoff of their first U.S. tour, Latinos Imparables, presented by Downy Unstopables in partnership with House of Blues Entertainment. The tour will start on May 22 in San Francisco, with a last stop in Dallas on June 12. Special guests will be Mexican singer Lilo.
Jesse & Joy is one of the most exciting groups in Latin Music today and we are pleased that they are headlining the inaugural Latinos Imparables tour, presented by Downy, said Manuel Moran, vice president, Latin programming and touring, Live Nation. Five-time Latin Grammy Award winners Jesse & Joy are a Mexican pop alternative-folk duo, who have achieved gold and platinum record sales in Mexico and established themselves as one of the most important and influential artists on the current pop scene. The Warner Music Mexico’s recording artists have cut three studio albums and were nominated for their first Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album (¿Con Quién Se Queda El Perro?) in 2013. The brother-sister duo have been awarded this past year with two Premio Lo Nuestro, one Cadena Dial award (Spain) and one Premio Telehit (Mexico).
Lilo, a Mexican singer-songwriter, will be the supporting act. Her track “Mr. Hollywood” served as the theme song for the MTV series Popland and MTV most recently premiered her track “Si Te Vas” on Ultimo Año. Lilos track “Cuentos de Radio” served as the anthem for the Nike campaign “Nosotras Corremos.” Starbucks/iTunes chose her song, Ciudad Carmelo, as their Pick of the Week in Mexico with 50,000 downloads.
The Jesse & Joy Latinos Imparables Tour will benefit from a full service marketing campaign, including featured placement across all Live Nation, Ticketmaster and House of Blues websites and email marketing; social media marketing, and special in-venue promotions. In addition, Downy and Live Nation Studios will create eight video segments for the tour (including one where the tour stylist Francis Bertrand will showcase the tour wardrobe selection and preparation).
