JEVS at Home Brings Its Home Care Excellence to the Communities of Allegheny County

Established home care program and new partnership with Jewish Family
& Children’s Service of Pittsburgh positions JEVS at Home at the
forefront of PA Managed Care Changes

PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–JEVS at Home, a registered 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization
providing non-medical home care support services to disabled and aging
individuals, announced plans to open an office in the Squirrel Hill
neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 5. With a service area
including Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, Chester, Bucks and now
Allegheny counties, JEVS at Home is one of the largest home care service
providers in Pennsylvania, continually recognized for their integrity of
service, ethical focus, client trust and commitment to home care
excellence.

To facilitate the expansion into Allegheny County and help assure those

partnered with Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Pittsburgh (JF&CS).

JEVS at Home: Beginnings, growth, and services

JEVS (Formerly Jewish Employment and Vocational Services) is not an
unfamiliar name for many people of Allegheny County, the non-profit
company having introduced its Supports for Independence (SFI) program in
the area in 1984. Launched in Philadelphia in 2012, JEVS at Home quickly
distinguished itself from other home care services in the region for its
excellence of care, dedication to improved quality of life, and focus on
helping clients – as well as loved ones – maintain as much independence
and “normalcy” as possible.

Services provided by JEVS at Home include, but are not limited to:
assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing; meal preparation; light
housekeeping; making beds and changing the linens; laundry; supportive
care; encouragement and assistance with light exercise; help with
errands, grocery shopping and attending community events; and assistance
to doctor’s appointments.

Term Care

With their experience, breadth of service, established reputation, and
focus on maintaining client independence, JEVS at Home feels they are
perfectly in sync with Governor Tom Wolf’s vision for Pennsylvania’s new
managed care approach, “Community HealthChoices.” The hope for Community
HealthChoices is that it will result in reduced long-term care costs,
