Kohl’s Donated $51 Million in 2015 Through Philanthropic Initiatives

KSS) today announced a total of $51 million in philanthropic giving in
2015. The donations include nearly $16 million in corporate grants
through Kohl’s premier associate volunteer program and approximately $19
million donated through Kohl’s Cares® cause merchandise, in addition to
other philanthropic giving.

“Kohl’s takes pride in being a responsible, charitable member of the

communications. “Our associates have the ability to positively impact
the nonprofits they are passionate about through our world-class
volunteer program and our customers can join our efforts and make a
difference by supporting our cause merchandise program, which directly
benefits children’s health initiatives nationwide.”

Each year, thousands of Kohl’s associates volunteer their time and
talents to youth-serving nonprofits in communities across the country.
With every qualifying event, the participating organization receives a
$500 grant from Kohl’s. In 2015, associates volunteered nearly 500,000
hours benefiting more than 7,700 nonprofit organizations through Associates
in Action
. Since the program’s inception in 2001, more than 3.7
million hours have been volunteered and Kohl’s has donated more than
$112 million in corporate grants.

Kohl’s volunteer program is part of the company’s overall philanthropic
platform, Kohl’s Cares, which includes the Kohl’s
Cares Hospital Program
 and Kohl’s
Cares cause merchandise
. The merchandise features children’s books
and soft toys for just $5 each, with 100 percent of net profit
benefiting children’s health programs nationwide. Since 2000, Kohl’s has
