Lansinoh Donates a Year’s Worth of Breast Pumps To GOOD+ Foundation

Global leader in breastfeeding donates over $200K in breast pumps
to help ensure all mothers have access to breastfeeding support

ALEXANDRIA, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lansinoh Laboratories, Inc., a global leader in breastfeeding
accessories, has donated a year’s worth of breast pumps and
breastfeeding supplies to GOOD+ Foundation (formerly Baby Buggy). GOOD+
is a non-profit organization founded by Jessica Seinfeld to provide
essential clothing, gear and services to families in need. The donation
from Lansinoh is valued at $200,000 and is the largest one-time breast
pump donation ever received by GOOD+ Foundation.

In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, which occurs from August
1-7, Lansinoh has donated more than 800 Signature Pro® Double Electric
Breast Pumps to help reduce barriers to breastfeeding in low-income
communities. GOOD+ Foundation is distributing the breast pumps to a
network of over 100 community-based organizations across the country and
the pumps will be provided with education to support expecting and
nursing moms throughout their breastfeeding journeys.

benefit. Low-income moms are especially vulnerable due to the likelihood
of being separated earlier from their breastfeeding babies after birth
due to varying levels of insurance coverage and maternity leave. Through
our partnership with GOOD+ Foundation, we are thrilled to help close
that gap and ensure that every mom – regardless of her circumstances
–has access to a high quality breast pump.”

Cicatelli-Ciagne continued, “Lansinoh’s 2016 Global Survey focused on
health care professionals’ attitudes and beliefs about breastfeeding. We
found that health practitioners see myriad challenges facing new moms
who want to breastfeed, including concerns from mom that she is not
doing it right (23% say it’s the top barrier to breastfeeding), a lack
of support when mom returns to work (20%), and a lack of awareness about
the tools available (21%). Partnerships like ours with GOOD+ Foundation
are key to addressing these barriers, delivering resources and education
to moms in need.”
