Lincoln Automotive Financial protects Canadian clients with new credit monitoring

Canadian victims lost millions to identity theft, fraud in 2015

• The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre counts 25,000 victims reporting
  identity theft or fraud in 2015; actual victims are estimated at
  500,000

DEARBORN, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre¹ (CAFC) says more than 25,000
victims reported losing nearly $11 million to identity fraudsters in the
first 11 months of 2015 – and estimates actual victims and dollars lost
are 20 times greater than reported. Lincoln Automotive Financial
Services is helping Canadian clients defend themselves against identity
fraud with new complimentary credit monitoring.

“We want to provide our clients the peace of mind that comes from
knowing their credit is being monitored all day and all night. They will
be notified immediately of any activity affecting their credit,” said
Alan Cusworth, Marketing and Brand manager. “Clients will also have
unlimited access to their TransUnion credit report and credit score so
they can check their status any time.”

The complimentary service is available to clients in Canada who finance
or lease a new Lincoln through Lincoln Automotive Financial Services
from May 2, 2016, through May 1, 2017, and who activate their account on
the TransUnion website. The service continues for two years.
