Ethos Veterinary Health to Provide Innovative Medical Care for Pets
Nationwide

DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The leadership team at Ethos
Veterinary Health
(Ethos) today announced the formation of the new
company, the result of a merger between IVG Hospitals (New England),
Premier Veterinary Group (Chicago), Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital (Denver)
and Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego. Ethos will provide
specialty and emergency care for pets through its 13 hospital locations
across the U.S. The final merger documents were signed in December 2015.

Ethos works primarily through referral from primary care veterinarians,
focusing on advanced medicine and high quality, compassionate care in an
effort to improve the lives of pets and their owners. Specialties
include surgery, oncology, neurology, cardiology and internal medicine.

“Becoming one organization allows us to fully leverage our collective
expertise,” said Ames Prentiss, CEO. “We’re building a national model
that will leverage the regional investments we made over the years in
education, compounding pharmacy and reference lab expertise. This allows
us to offer the most advanced medicine for our patients, develop
innovative business solutions, and provide better career advancement
opportunities for our team members.”

The same people who led each of the hospital groups before the merger
are all part of the new leadership team and the board of Ethos. This is
truly a merger of four companies with the same people in place, both
locally and nationally.

Ethos Veterinary Health is able to develop progressive medical
techniques to improve care at local veterinary hospitals, as well as
launch groundbreaking services such as VetBloom, online continuing
medical education and training for the entire veterinary team. In
addition, the company has its own reference lab and compounding
pharmacy, which will enhance the ability to diagnose and treat patients.

“Ethos is defining the future of veterinary medicine through innovative
scientific advances. Our work will begin in the field of cancer
research, but we expect to expand into many other disciplines in which
there are unmet clinical needs,” said Dr. Chand Khanna, Chief Science
Officer. “It is my goal that our work will change the biology of many of
the aggressive diseases that we deal with in the practice of specialty
veterinary medicine, and in doing so, we will improve the lives and
outcomes of our patients.”

In the coming months and years, Ethos Veterinary Health will continue to
expand its network of specialty referral and emergency hospitals across
the country and create opportunities for veterinary medical
professionals to advance their careers and influence the growth of the
veterinary industry.
