Miller Children’s Partners with Belmont Shore Business Association for Revamped iWalk & Shop
LONG BEACH, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach is partnering with the
Belmont Shore Business Association (BSBA) for iWalk & Shop 4 Kids. iWalk
& Shop 4 Kids is a new take on the annual iWalk…4 Kids 5K fundraising
event benefiting Miller Children’s. iWalk & Shop 4 Kids invites the
community to gather for a fun-filled day of eating and shopping at some
of the best restaurants and shops in Long Beach to support the children,
teens and expectant mothers being cared for at Miller Children’s.
The BSBA is rallying shops and restaurants that line Belmont Shore’s 2nd
Street to get together to support a great cause. iWalk & Shop 4 Kids
participants will stroll 2nd Street and, by purchasing a
wristband, receive discounts from participating shops and restaurants
such as Powell’s Sweet Shoppe, 2nd Street Beauty and Legends
Restaurant and Sports Grill.
“The shops and restaurants of the BSBA are thrilled to sponsor the iWalk
& Shop 4 Kids event,” says Dede Rossi, executive director, Belmont Shore
Business Association. “This will be a great event supporting an
important hospital in our community and we are happy to be a part of it.”
Miller Children’s patients, families and care team members will join the
community on this special day to tie ribbons of hope and inspiration on
the trees that line this iconic area in Long Beach. Participants are
also encouraged to send a special message to the patients and families
at Miller Children’s on the giant Long Beach Community Message Board in
front of Chase Bank. iWalk & Shop 4 Kids also will be taking place
during the Belmont Shore Art Walk Sidewalk Chalk Art contest.
iWalk & Shop 4 Kids will take place on Saturday, Oct. 15 along 2nd
Street in Belmont Shore beginning at 10 a.m. until participating shops
close. Registrants will receive a wristband that grants the great deals
and discounts at select shops and restaurants along Belmont Shore’s 2nd
Street. Wristbands will be sold for $25 before and during the event at
Chase Bank, Farmers & Merchants Bank and Fromex. All registration
proceeds will benefit Miller Children’s and are tax deductible. For more
