NAHJ Honors Key Media Companies

The National Association of Hispanic Journalists is pleased to honor four media companies that reflect NAHJ’s mission of dedication to the recognition and professional advancement of Latinos in media.

These companies are making a concerted effort to increase the visibility of Latinos in their newsrooms, and working hard to accurately represent the Latino community in the media. They will be honored on Saturday, August 9th during the Hall of Fame Gala at NAHJ’s 2014 Convention in San Antonio when we celebrate our 30th anniversary.

The following companies will receive the 2014 Media Awards:

CNN: A cable news company that has increased the visibility and accurate representation of Latinos in cable news.

PBS: A broadcast company that has increased the visibility and accurate representation of Latinos in its national programs.

Fox News Latino: A digital news company that has increased the visibility and accurate representation of Latinos in its digital platform.

BuzzFeed: An online news company that has increased the visibility and accurate representation of Latinos in its online platform.

Join us in San Antonio August 7-9 and not only will you be at the nation’s premier gathering of Hispanic journalists, you’ll be a big part of this important celebration.
