National Association of Women Lawyers Board of Directors Announces Mentoring Partnership with Ms. JD Board of Directors

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Lawyers®
(“NAWL”), a nonpartisan 501(c)(6) dedicated to advancing women in the
legal profession, has joined with the Board of Directors of Ms. JD, a
nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to the success of aspiring
and early career women lawyers, to form mentoring partnerships between
members of each volunteer Board.

“One group that is passionate about its mission can initiate a great
deal of change,” said Leslie Richards-Yellen, President of NAWL. “Two
groups with similar goals, in this case, advancing women under the law,
can maximize their impact through collaboration.”

Ms. Richards-Yellen commented that NAWL Board members were eager to
foster stronger bonds with Ms. JD Board members through mentoring
partnerships.

Similarly, Raychelle Tasher, President of Ms. JD, believes that the Ms.
JD and NAWL mentorship program will be a great way for the two
organizations to continue their missions and truly be stronger together.

“This innovative program will provide opportunities for both
organizations to learn from each other and impact a broader audience of
women in the legal profession,” Ms. Tasher said.

Mentoring partnerships will be based on geographic location and practice
area of each Board member, with an in-person get-together at NAWL’s 2017
Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon on July 20, 2017 in New York City.
