National Homelessness Awareness Month and National Philanthropy Day Converge with Recognition for the California Capital Region’s Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year

The Association of Fundraising Professionals, California Capital
Chapter honors Bryce Robicheau for his extensive contributions through
HomeAid Sacramento in “Building the Way Home” for homeless families and
individuals

SACRAMENTO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#AFP–At its annual National Philanthropy Day (NPD) Awards Luncheon, the California
Capital Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals
,
(AFPCCC), recognized Bryce Robicheau with the organization’s prestigious
“Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year” award.

Robicheau was honored among a distinguished field of nominees based on
his work through HomeAid
Sacramento
and his record of securing more than $555,000 in cash and
in-kind donations. These donations fund and support the construction and
renovation of dignified emergency and transitional shelter housing in
the Sacramento region.

Scott Moak, Executive Director of the Kings
Foundation
and public address announcer for the Sacramento
Kings
, introduced Robicheau: “As a result of Bryce’s fundraising
efforts, countless families and individuals experiencing homelessness
have been given access to dignified shelter, where they can rebuild
their lives.”
Robicheau has been directly involved in 15 separate
HomeAid emergency and transitional shelter construction and renovation
projects. He also served as Chairman for HomeAid Sacramento’s successful
trap shoot fundraiser this year — an annual event that accounts for more
than one-third of the budget for the official charity of the North
State Building Industry Association
. Moak concluded, “Bryce has a
heart of gold.”

In his emotional acceptance, Robicheau shared inspirational stories of
his family and upbringing that taught him the value of giving back. He
also thanked his colleagues in the roofing and homebuilding industry
with an appeal to get even more involved: “We literally put roofs
over people’s heads– there is no better feeling. It will change your
heart. It might change your life. I know it changed mine.

these initiatives on behalf of the multiple non-profit shelter operator
beneficiaries and the homeless people they serve.
