New Findings in Online Learning to be Unveiled at National Dropout Prevention Network Conference

K12 Inc. to Present Three Sessions at Annual Event Geared
Toward Increasing Graduation Rates –

DETROIT–(BUSINESS WIRE)–October is National
Dropout Prevention Month
and K12 Inc. (NYSE: LRN), a

school, today announced it will sponsor three sessions at the National
Dropout Prevention Network Conference
. Thousands are expected at the
annual event, which takes place October 2 through 5, at the Detroit
Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Among the presenters:

  • Laurel Barrette, K12’s Director of Program Management, a high
    school dropout herself with a highly-compelling personal story
    ,

    will present a session entitled “What We’ve Learned Using Integrated
    Student Supports and Data to Drive Student and Family Reengagement in
    the Virtual School Setting.”
  • Early King, K12’s Sr. Director of Blended Schools, will present a
    session entitled “Leveraging a Village for Out-of-School Students
    Using Community Supports at Hill House Passport Academy.”
  • Finally, a session entitled “Delivering Results: Improving Academic
    Outcomes with High Risk Students through Blended Learning” will be led
    by John Watson, CEO of the Evergreen Education Group, which focuses on
    the digital education market.
