Next Advanced Medicine and Dr. Candice Hall, D.C., Want to Take Back Old Prescription Drugs

Clean out the medicine cabinets and bring expired, unused drugs to
Irvine, Calif. clinic on Saturday, April 30

IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–That medicine cabinet could use a good spring cleaning, and Next
Advanced Medicine is ready to help dispose of those bottles of expired
and unused prescription medications as part of the 11th National
Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

Next Advanced Medicine, under the direction of founder Candice Hall,
D.C., will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, with staff
available to safely collect all unused prescription medications.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, established by the Drug
Enforcement Administration in 2010, is an event that encourages people
to gather up unused and outdated prescriptions and dispose of them
properly by surrendering them to medical professionals and law
enforcement officials at hundreds of locations throughout the nation.

Prescription medications are vital to saving millions of lives in
America, but when expired or unused drugs are not disposed of properly,
they can become hazardous for toddlers, teenagers and even family pets.
If accidentally ingested, some medications can even be lethal. And since
throwing away medicine bottles in the trash or flushing leftover pills
down the toilet can be environmental health hazards, the DEA and Next
Advanced Medicine invites everyone to spring clean their medicine
cabinets.

In light of National Take-Back Day, Dr. Hall and the medical staff at
Next Advanced Medicine encourage people to seek out natural approaches
to those prescription medications. Working with hundreds of Type 2
diabetes patients, health care providers at Next Advanced Medicine often
recommend natural approaches to common prescriptions, like metformin or
statins, used for treating high blood sugar and high cholesterol,
respectively.

“Bring in your bottles of expired pain meds and we will dispose of them
for you, safely,” said Dr. Hall. “And if you’re interested, you can
learn more about natural approaches to your current, long-term Type 2
diabetes medications.”

Next Advanced Medicine is located at 4980 Barranca Parkway, Ste. 200 in
Irvine, Calif. For more information, call (949) 786-5050, or log on to www.nextadvancedmedicine.com.
