Olympian, Dancing with the Stars Champion Laurie Hernandez Shares the Spotlight with Her Mom in New Campaign for Febreze at Walmart

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sometimes, the things we love most can be stinky. Take active teenagers
for instance. That’s why Olympic gold medalist and the youngest Dancing
with the Stars champion in history, Laurie Hernandez and her mom, Wanda,
are partnering with Febreze – available at Walmart – to introduce a
fresh twist to the “I Love You, But Sometimes You Stink” campaign that
launched earlier in 2017. Febreze at Walmart’s first Latina
mother/daughter duo are promoting new Febreze with OdorClear™ technology
– the product’s toughest formula to date – designed to seek out odor
molecules, deactivate them and clean away odors better than ever before.

The duo is currently starring in an Odor Ode video campaign that debuted
this month and will appear nationwide on endcap TV in Walmart stores
throughout August. Appearing together in video for the first time, the
Hernandezes gravitated towards the Febreze campaign because it
highlights love for and dedication to the most important things in our
life…even when they stink. Through the campaign, Laurie had the
opportunity to teach her mom a thing or two about dancing, while Wanda
was able to show Laurie what eliminating those active teen odors is all
about.

Few people understand odors like parents of a teenage athlete, so as
Laurie has persevered through a lot of sweat and tears to attain her
dreams, her mom Wanda has been by her side supporting her. “We use
Febreze all over the house, and we even take it in the car. Laurie is my
third – and most active – stinky teen, so I’ve learned a thing or two by
now,” Wanda said.

A proprietary formula from Febreze, new OdorClear™ technology is made up
of hard-working odor-eliminating agents. Compounds like odor trappers,
odor converters, odor neutralizers and odor magnets work together to
clean away odors in two simple ways: seeking out bad odors and cleaning
them away altogether by deactivating and replacing them with a light,
fresh scent. Some of the odor removal technology works instantly to
eliminate odor and leave a fresh scent, while other technology activates
over time and continues to work even after it is finished being sprayed.

Video spots featuring the dancing Hernandez duo and new Febreze with
OdorClear™ technology can be seen on

stores and at walmart.com/febreze.
