Female Surfing Event
MELBOURNE, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#PaulMitchellSupergirlPro–ASA Entertainment announced today that the World Surf League (WSL)
6-Star Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro will take place for the ninth
consecutive year at the Oceanside Pier in Oceanside, Calif., from July
22-24. The nationally televised event is the largest female surf
contest in the world, with 140 top pros registered to compete.
Admission to the event is free.
The Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro will serve as the lone women’s WSL
qualifying event in the U.S. and plays a critical role for surfers
looking to solidify their position on the 2017 Women’s World
Championship Tour (WCT).
“With the Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro representing the only women’s
qualifying event in the U.S., this contest is extremely important in the
girls’ qualification process for next year’s WCT,” said Jessi

Some of the world-class surfers registered to compete include World
Champion Carissa Moore, Courtney Conlogue, Alana Blanchard, Malia
Manuel, Coco Ho, Laura Enever, Sage Erickson, and defending champion,

features an action-packed Festival Village with nine live musical
performances (including Multi-Platinum™ artists Cody Simpson and
Daya), yoga, fitness, dance, seminars, autographs, hair styling,
a skateboarding competition, a Celebrity Surf Invitational, an
all-female DJ Competition, a Female Leadership Summit, and
