PetSmart Announces 20,000-Plus Pets Find Forever Homes at Last Week’s National Adoption Week – Most Pets Adopted at November Event in Past Six Years

PetSmart Gives Two Paws Up for America’s Top 10 “Furriendliest” Cities

PHOENIX–(BUSINESS WIRE)–More than 20,000 pets found their forever homes last week during
PetSmart’s National Adoption Week held at the more than 1,400 PetSmart
stores across the U.S. and Canada. The week-long event is conducted in
collaboration with PetSmart Charities and its adoption partners –
comprising more than 3,000 local animal shelters and pet adoption
organizations.

PetSmart congratulates Fort Worth, Texas, which was named the
“furriendliest” U.S. city during the adoption week with the most pet
adoptions. The Fort Worth area’s local adoption partners helped find
lifelong, loving homes for 217 cats and dogs. A total of 1,642 pets were
adopted across the top 10 U.S. cities, with Texan cities – Fort Worth,
Houston, Dallas – leading the top three with a combined 605 total pet
adoptions.
