Recovery Centers of America Opens Boston Center for Addiction Treatment

The 210-bed Boston Center for Addiction Treatment seeks to eradicate
the stigma of addiction, its treatment, and recovery

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#addicition–In Massachusetts, approximately
50,000 patients suffering from substance use disorder seek help by
entering detox each year, yet only 3,000 beds are available for
next-step treatment
. These treatment gaps have ignited a nationwide
opioid epidemic, with heroin use nearly tripling since 2003. To offer
Massachusetts residents an avenue for sustained, meaningful recovery, Recovery
Centers of America (RCA)
, provider of the finest
inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs, has opened Boston
Center for Addiction Treatment
(B•CAT)
in Danvers.

The Boston Center for Addiction Treatment is one of two centralized
recovery campuses RCA will operate in Massachusetts. The company
completed a $20 million renovation to transform the 140,000-square-foot
former Hunt Hospital into a state-of-the-art treatment center that will
employ up to 300 professionals.

With specialists in opioid, heroin, and alcohol addiction, in addition
to experts in pharmaceutical drug abuse and party-circuit drugs such as
benzos, ecstasy, cocaine, and crack, RCA will offer treatment programs
designed to address co-occurring disorders and psychiatric specialties
including anxiety, trauma, depression, and bi-polar disorder.

The Boston Center for Addiction Treatment is led by Brad Greenstein who
has over 17 years of experience in the behavioral health industry and a
recognized expert for the innovative leadership he brought to both
Spectrum Health Systems and Las Vegas Recovery Center. He has served on
the board of a number of community and national non-profit agencies
including Foundation for Recovery, Inc., PACT Coalition for Safe and
Drug Free Communities, and was appointed by Nevada Governor Brian
Sandoval to serve on the State of Nevada Mental Health Planning and
Advisory Council along with the State of Nevada Substance Abuse
Prevention and Treatment Advisory Board.

Greenstein leads a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, clinicians
and care advocates, offering patients RCA’s integrated care model,
incorporating addiction treatment, primary care, and other medical
services to treat the whole person.

“There is an overwhelming need for quality treatment options in
Massachusetts,” says Greenstein. “The RCA approach dignifies families
and patients struggling with this disease, and offers personalized
treatment plans that are scientifically proven to be effective. We are
looking forward to bringing much-needed relief to this state.”

The Boston Center for Addiction Treatment includes an in-patient
facility that offers residential living accommodations in a dramatic,
contemporary environment designed to eradicate the stigma of addiction,
its treatment, and recovery. With the belief that people who are treated
well achieve meaningful recovery faster, the facility will provide a
variety of conveniences including fitness and holistic therapy programs,
farm-to-table style dining, black car service, and CrossFit and yoga
classes open to the recovery community in the Greater Boston area.
Public training and meeting rooms will be available at no charge to the
community for 12-step meetings, family support groups, and a variety of
professional education programs. Additional assistance is offered
through Wicked
Sober’s
on-site drop-in center.
