Serta Simmons Bedding Appoints Daren Couture Executive Vice President, Operations

ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC (SSB) today announced the appointment of
Daren Couture as Executive Vice President, Operations. Mr. Couture
reports to Michael Traub, Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately
and succeeds the Company’s previous Operations leader, Mark Baron, who
retired in April.

In this role, Mr. Couture will be responsible for all aspects of
operations at SSB’s 39 manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Canada and
Puerto Rico, as well as the Company’s supply chain and procurement
processes. He is based at SSB’s Corporate Center in Atlanta.

Mr. Couture most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of the
Philips Health Care Imaging Systems group where he was responsible for
operations and integrated supply chain management for the medical
imaging systems and devices manufacturer. While there, he led the
Company’s operational excellence journey to transform the culture, build
talent and to drive results-oriented operations.

Prior to Philips, Mr. Couture was Senior Vice President, Integrated
Supply Chain at Electrolux Major Appliances North America where he led
operations, procurement and customer service. Before that, he was Senior
Vice President, Global Operations for Danaher Corporation and also held
positions of increasing responsibility at Newell Rubbermaid, ranging
from Plant Manager to Vice President of Operations, Office Products. Mr.
Couture’s career began as a Process Control Manager at Tagsons Paper
Company.
