Roku TV
in Mexico. TCL Roku

In addition to the availability of the TCL Roku TV lineup, TCL named
Fernando Alba as Head of the Company’s Business Development and
Operations efforts in Mexico. Alba brings more than 17 years of
leadership and product management experience in the consumer electronics
industry. He will be tasked with building the TCL brand in Mexico, along
with overseeing business operations and development.

“Mexico is a very critical market for TCL and our television business,”
said Chris Larson, vice president of sales and marketing, TCL.
“Launching our TCL Roku TVs there is a significant milestone for the
company, and we are thrilled to have Fernando join our team to expand
our global presence. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a very diverse
background in the consumer electronics space that will help us build
upon our successes in the North American market and sustain our growth.”

Prior to joining TCL, Alba recently served as sales and marketing
director for Hisense’s TV and mobile division. With previous experience
managing teams at Samsung and Sony, Fernando is uniquely positioned to
help TCL, a worldwide leader in technology and value, become the
dominating brand in Mexico. In addition to his success on the
manufacturing side, Alba had a role in helping Best Buy establish a
prominent position in the Mexican market as the Home Entertainment
Domain lead for their first 12 stores.

“TCL has been able to leverage their integrated supply chain and massive
worldwide scale to grow rapidly in North America since its introduction
just a few years ago,” said Alba. “As the 3rd largest TV
brand worldwide and one of only a few manufacturers with their own LCD
panel manufacturing, TCL is able to lead on technology, cosmetics, and
drive costs out of the product while increasing the quality. I am
excited about continuing our success and helping to establish the TCL
brand as a household name in the Mexico market.”

“Roku TV is designed to give users both a simplified and improved TV
experience, from installation to daily use,” said Chas Smith, GM Roku TV
& Players Sales. “With a TCL Roku TV consumers get a smart TV that
combines all entertainment sources on one customizable home screen, with
great streaming content for the Mexico market.”
