The Finish Line Youth Foundation Grants More Than $144,000 in Q2 2016

INDIANAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–$FINL #Grants–The Finish Line Youth Foundation announced today the award of $144,093
in grants for the second quarter of 2016. The 17 grants will help
organizations in 12 states that focus on healthy lifestyles, youth
development and special needs.

“From hitting the bulls eye during archery to feeling the summer heat
during a tennis lesson to learning about anti-bullying practices, it’s
important kids everywhere have these opportunities,” said Marty Posch,
Finish Line Youth Foundation president. “We value partnerships that
provide these experiences for kids.”

Finish Line stores nationwide are hosting a back-to-school drive through
September 5 dedicated to giving kids in our communities an active and
healthy future.

The Finish Line Youth Foundation supports qualified non-profit
organizations that provide community-based access to athletics for
children and camps that provide services to those who are disadvantaged
or disabled.

The deadline to submit grant applications online
for this quarter is September 30, 2016.

LEGACY GRANTS:

YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit (Detroit) – $73,500 for the Finish
Line for Youth Riding Stables barn renovation at Camp Ohiyesa serving
3,000 youth.

CAMPS:

Beat the Streets Wrestling (New York, N.Y.) $5,000 to
support summer wrestling camp for 250 at-risk youth.

Camping Unlimited (Boulder Creek, CA) – $1,118 for an outdoor
camp archery program for 200 youth with special needs.

Equitas Health (Columbus, Ohio) $5,000 for Camp Sunrise
for 100 children ages 6 to 17 affected by HIV/AIDS.

Jameson Camp (Indianapolis) – $5,000 to support residential
summer camp for 450 at-risk and disadvantaged youth.

Muscular Dystrophy Association (Dallas) – $5,000 for MDA summer
camp for 107 children with muscular dystrophy.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLES:

Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia (Philadelphia) $5,000
for Cadence Youth Cycling program for 100 underserved youth.

Camp Joy Foundation (Clarksville, Ohio) – $5,000 to support camp
programs for 4,000 low-income and at-risk youth.

Down Syndrome Indiana (Indianapolis) $1,000 for tennis
lessons for 55 down syndrome youth.

Girls on the Run of Central Illinois (Springfield, Ill.) – $5,000
for an after school fitness program for 1,300 8-13 year old girls.

Junior Blind of America (Los Angeles) – $5,000 to support
Champions for Life recreation and sports program for 482 blind and
visually impaired children.

Our Military Kids (McLean, Va.) – $5,000 for “One Child at a
Time” athletic program serving 4,000 youth whose parents are in the
military.

P.F. Bresee Foundation (Los Angeles) – $5,000 for Bresee Youth
Athletics for 500 at-risk youth. Sycamore Lane Therapeutic Riding
Center (Oregon City, Ore.)
– $3,500 for equine-assisted activities
and therapies for 50 children with physical and mental disabilities.

The CT Institute for the Blind (Hartford, Conn.) – $4,975 for
Goal Ball sports and fitness program training to serve 560 youth.

The Grand Strand Miracle League (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) – $5,000 to
support 2016-2017 Team Sports for Special Kids program serving 500
mentally and physically handicapped youth.

U Make A Difference Foundation (Fishers, Ind.) – $5,000 for
leadership and anti-bullying summit impacting 3,000 youth.
