Board Certified Infectious Disease providers to offer personalized,
state-of–the-art care in Ft. Lauderdale to treat acute and chronic liver

, a state-of-the-art clinic specializing in
evaluating, managing, and treating acute and chronic liver disease, will
hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for its new South Florida
location at 700 S.E. 3rd Avenue, Suite 201 in Ft. Lauderdale on Wednesday,
August
3rd, from 5:00
– 7:00 p.m

Under the leadership of Dr. Julia Torres, The Liver Institute
South Florida’s team of Board Certified/Eligible Infectious Disease
Specialists and Internal Medicine Specialists will offer a
multi-disciplinary approach to treating complex viral infections such as
Hepatitis B, C, and HIV/AIDS and will utilize the most recent treatment
guidelines, medications and technologies for treatment, including onsite
FibroScan services. FibroScan is a recently FDA-approved technology to
measure liver elasticity and grade liver damage that is a noninvasive,
painless alternative to liver biopsy.

The Liver Institute South Florida accepts most major insurances and will
offer appointments Mondays from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. and Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Appointments can be scheduled by

evaluation and treating complex viral infections such as Hepatitis B,
Hepatitis C, and HIV/AIDS, The Liver Institute South Florida includes
pharmacists who will guide patients through the treatment process with
patient education, case management, and assistance with the insurance
approval process. The pharmacist also serves as a liaison to the primary
care provider and office throughout the patient’s care.

The overall clinical approach of The Liver Institute, which also
operates locations in Los Angeles, CA, and Brooklyn, NY, is to:

  • Deliver state-of-the-art technology and provide innovative drug
    therapy.
  • Work in partnership with clinical trials in both diagnostic and
    therapeutic treatment areas.
  • Offer onsite benefits specialists to navigate through the insurance
    process.
  • Contain onsite blood draws with results evaluated and provided by our
    clinicians.
  • Provide FibroScan services by certified clinicians.
  • Include a staff pharmacist who provides personalized treatment
