Wilsonart Enhances Technology Offerings to Ease Designer Experience
Digital specifications toolkit features new wallboard app, spec tools
and state of the art Visualizer
TEMPLE, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Working with Wilsonart products is even easier with new digital tools
that bring Wilsonart® Laminate, Quartz, Solid Surface and
other engineered surfaces to a designer’s desktop, tablet or phone.

Wilsonart’s technology resources for professionals can be found online
and on mobile devices through a toolkit that includes downloadable spec
guides and Builder Information Modeling (BIM) files, a specification
wizard, a state-of-the-art commercial spaces visualizer and the new
Wilsonart Design App, that provides easy access to samples and
information.
Wilsonart VISUALIZER
The Visualizer,
launched earlier this year for residential spaces, offers an expanded
selection of commercial spaces – 23 in all – that can be configured with
Wilsonart® Laminate, Quartz and Solid Surface designs, then
saved, printed or shared with clients and co-workers. The visualizer
makes it easier for clients to see how a design will look in a space,
and includes new hospitality, healthcare, retail, education and office
spaces. The redesigned web-based interface allows users to select one of
the industry segments then scroll between available spaces while on
their computer or mobile device without the need of additional software.
Other improvements include, new help screens, larger text, where to buy
and improved tool tips on tool bar icons to match industry tool tips.
The Wilsonart TOOLKIT
offers a variety of digital tools that make specification of Wilsonart
products easy:
MASTER SPEC
Wilsonart product data and customized
specifications are available through ARCOM’s software platform to
architects, engineers and design professionals. Customized versions of
industry-trusted MasterSpec® sections are accessible through
the online toolkit to accurately specify Wilsonart product, including
access to Wilsonart’s product catalog and data sheets.
BUILDER INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) FILES
Wilsonart provides
a complete set of BIM files (specifications, images, etc.) for Laminate,
Solid Surface, Quartz and Metals, as well as details for Wilsonart’s
Decorative Edges and Solid Surface Sinks. Data rich AutoDesk®
Revit® BIM objects are available at no charge. With ARCAT,
appropriate product data has been added to each object saving architects
and engineers valuable time. Additionally, links to Wilsonart’s CSI
3-Part specs are embedded along with product information.
SPECWIZARD
Wilsonart and ARCAT have also partnered to
provide SpecWizard®. The software creates complete 3-part CSI
construction product specifications that can be freely generated and
downloaded for Word and other word processing formats.
Wilsonart DESIGN APP (available on iTunes and Google Play stores)
Wilsonart
has digitized the wallboard, providing mobile access to samples and
information 24/7. The Wilsonart Design App, available free on iTunes and
Google Play, uses QR codes on Wilsonart’s wallboard to replenish missing
samples right from a smart phone or tablet. QR codes on the back of
samples also provide quick access to pattern availability, specification
information, larger swatches and more. The all-in-one tool is an instant
digital library to all of Wilsonart’s promoted products and designs.
