3M’s Marlene McGrath Selected as NAFE’s 2016 Global Women’s Envoy

ST. PAUL, Minn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–There’s an art to great leadership. If you combine the skills of
listening, empowerment and experience, and enable them in the right
person, you can create an effective force for change. 3M is fortunate to
have a strong champion for women’s leadership and advancement in Senior
Vice President of Human Resources Marlene McGrath.

The National Association for Female Executives has recognized McGrath’s
strong leadership as well, naming her the 2016 Global Women’s Envoy. The
annual NAFE Women of Excellence Awards honor the achievements and
accomplishments of outstanding women committed to serving and enriching
their workplaces, their communities, and the world.

McGrath’s passion for developing women to take on leadership roles paved
the way for 3M’s global Women’s Leadership Forum, an organization
focused on accelerating the advancement of women across 3M. Her efforts
have made a difference for thousands of women and have benefited the
company by improving gender balance at 3M locations around the word. She
is known for her long-time support of mentoring women and the changes
she has championed throughout 3M to build a more diverse and inclusive
culture.

McGrath began her 3M career more than 22 years ago as a lawyer in the
company’s legal department. She also served as a manager within the
Advanced Materials Division at 3M Canada, then director and vice
president in human resources before being named to that organization’s
top spot in 2012.
