Back to School for Insight School of Washington Students Means Powering Up the Computer

— Students return to online public school September 6–

TACOMA, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Students at Insight
School of Washington
(ISWA), an accredited, full-time, online
public school, will begin their 2016-2017 school year on September 6 as
the program marks its 11th year of operation in the state.

ISWA is open to all students in grades 9 through 12 who reside in
Washington, providing students a unique school setting and highly
supportive approach. The rigorous and engaging curriculum offered by the
school includes courses in language arts/English, math, science,
history, world languages, art and music, as well as elective and
Advanced Placement® courses for high school students.
State-certified teachers provide instruction, guidance and support, and
interact with students and parents via email, web-based classrooms,
online discussions, phone and face-to-face meetings. As a public school
option, there is no tuition.

“Students choose ISWA for a variety of reasons,” said Jeff Bush, Head of
School of Insight School of Washington. “Sometimes students need
additional support, and other times they enroll with ISWA because they
seek the opportunity to learn in a more adaptive environment. Regardless
of the reason, our teachers provide one-on-one attention to students so
they can succeed.”

At ISWA, students attend school from the safety of their home, where
they can focus on their studies without distractions or peer pressure
and with the help of state-certified teachers and caring counselors. The
daily structure and lessons are provided through a stimulating online
school environment where students are able to interact with their peers.

In addition to the award-winning curriculum provided by K12, ISWA offers
a Social-Emotional Learning component called ‘The Seven Mindsets’
through a homeroom/advisory model tailored to provide students with the
encouragement, strategies, and confidence to become successful young
adults. Additionally, students can also take advantage of the Credit
Recovery courses ISWA provides. This program enables students to
concentrate on courses in a condensed schedule (typically a nine-week
period), and often this program helps students get back on track and
graduate from high school on time.

ISWA is still accepting enrollments for this fall. To learn more about
