Fourth Annual Women’s Leadership Conference of SO (Southern Oregon) to Feature National Speaker on Leadership

MEDFORD, Ore.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Trainer, author, executive-leadership coach, and life strategist Melissa
J. Nixon is this year’s opening keynote speaker at the Fourth Annual
Women’s Leadership Conference of SO (Southern Oregon). She is also a
contributing writer for the Huffington Post, Lifehack, Addicted2Success,
and the Network of Executive Women. Speakers for the event also include
local experts, such as Loren Fogelman, Cynthia Scherr, and Dr. Alma Rosa
Alvarez, among many others. Closing remarks will include comments from
Rogue Valley native Camila Thorndike, executive director of Oregon
Climate.

Breakout sessions are developed around this year’s theme—Inspire,
Challenge, Achieve—and are headed by regional leaders whose goals are to
foster leadership in business, government, and non-profit organizations
that more fully reflect our region. Young professionals, mid-life women
balancing family with work, and top-rung professionals can all benefit.

today, Wednesday, March 9. The conference will be held on Friday, May 6,
from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. at the Inn at the Commons, 200 N. Riverside
Ave, Medford, OR 97501.

About the Women’s Leadership Conference of SO

Since the Women’s Leadership Conference of SO was first held in March of
2013, more than 800 people have attended. The conference was created
from a desire among regional women in leadership roles to encourage
other women to step into leadership positions at work and in the
community. The conference brings together women in all stages of their
careers.

The Women’s Leadership Conference of SO is presented by Southern Oregon
