IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#CES—IOGEAR,
a manufacturer of innovative information technology products for
consumers and small- to medium-sized businesses, today announced that it
has been twice named a CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honoree for its
Thunderbolt 2 KVM/Docking Station and Ultra Long Range Wireless
HDMI/DVI/VGA Solution. Products entered in this prestigious program are
judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers,
independent engineers, and members of the trade media to honor
outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics
products across 28 product categories.
The IOGEAR GTD732 Thunderbolt 2 KVM/Docking Station enables users to
easily establish and share a complete, full-featured workstation between
two Thunderbolt 2-enabled computers, allowing them to share peripherals
and Thunderbolt 2 devices with the simple push of a button, saving
desktop space and lowering capital expenses. The IOGEAR Ultra Long-Range
Wireless HDMI/DVI/VGA Solution enables users to wirelessly transmit A/V
signals from a source device such as a PC or Blu-ray player to an HDTV
or projector over distances up to 600 feet line-of-sight.
“We’re thrilled to receive this recognition for these two products
because it validates our ongoing efforts to bring products to market
that are the first in the industry and the best in class,” explained
Jack Wang, CEO of IOGEAR. “One of the characteristics of an innovative
product is that people often don’t know that they need it until they see
it. These two products are prime examples of our forward-thinking
engineering and product development teams and is evidence of how IOGEAR
is continuously developing connectivity solutions that enhance
productivity, simply connections, and reduce capital outlays for
consumers and small businesses.”
The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer
Technology Association (CTA)TM, the producer of CES 2017, the
global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer
technologies, and have been recognizing achievements in product design
and engineering since 1976.
IOGEAR’s Thunderbolt 2 KVM Docking Station and Ultra Long Range Wireless
HDMI/DVI/VGA Solution will be displayed at CES 2017, which runs January
5-8, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada. A selection of Honorees will also be
displayed at CES Unveiled New York, which features dozens of exhibitors
and networking opportunities and runs 3:00-7:30 PM November 10 at the
Metropolitan Pavilion in New York.
Entries are evaluated on their engineering, aesthetic and design
qualities, intended use/function and user value, unique/novel features
present and how the design and innovation of the product directly
compares to other products in the marketplace.
Products chosen as CES Innovation Honorees reflect innovative design and
engineering in some of the most cutting edge tech products and services
coming to market.
