Krav Maga Worldwide® Celebrates Grand Opening of New Training Center and Corporate Headquarters with Open House, Free Memberships
World’s foremost Krav Maga training organization relocates to
state-of-the-art training facility in Sherman Oaks, now offering
expanded classes
LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sherman Oaks just got safer with the leading self-defense organization,
Krav Maga Worldwide, celebrating the grand opening of its new facility
and global headquarters. An open house party complete with activities,
free classes, live demonstrations and tours of the new state-of-the-art
Krav Maga training center will be available during the grand opening
celebration on March 12, 2016. Prominently situated at the intersection
of Sepulveda and Ventura Boulevards, the training center brings new
energy to current members and local residents.
The open house will kick off at noon with tours of the facility,
followed by a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony. Cycles of
mini-classes will be offered from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each mini-class
will focus on one Krav Maga technique to give anyone unfamiliar with the
martial art a chance to experience an exciting combination of
self-defense and fitness. Full-length Krav Maga classes will also be
offered by some of the top instructors in the country. Attendees can
participate in introductory classes in Krav Maga or strength &
conditioning from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., or other unique classes like
weapons defense or heavy bag/cardio boxing from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
And while some work up an appetite, others can leisurely observe live
demonstrations and enjoy the hosted food and beverages from local taco
stands.
Throughout the day, participants in the mini-classes or fitness
activities will have the opportunity to be entered into a free drawing
for various prizes valued between $100 and $2,500, which will include
membership packages, fitness and fight gear, and/or athletic apparel.
The new center boasts four spacious training rooms that will offer
between 100 and 150 classes per week, and modern locker rooms with
complete amenities. The 10,000 square foot industrial glass and steel
complex with natural lighting and direct outdoor access maximizes
ventilation, training and overall member experience.
Founder Darren Levine, a 6th degree black belt and Chief
Instructor of Krav Maga Worldwide, will honor his late wife, Marni
Levine, with a special ceremony at the grand opening, to dedicate The
Marni Levine training room in memory of Marni’s contributions to the
Krav Maga community. Marni was a 4th degree black belt in Krav Maga, the
highest-ranking female instructor in the world, as well as a mother and
woman of indomitable strength and spirit. She steadfastly demonstrated a
life-long commitment to developing better students and instructors with
the fundamental understanding that Krav Maga heightens perception and
transforms fear into something more productive in the world.
From novices interested in participating in their first Krav Maga class
to seasoned pros who would like to try their hand at a weapons or KM Bag
