will hold a grand opening ceremony centered around the theme of “Demystifying
Data Science” on October 20th, 6:30-8:30 PM at 1033 West Van Buren
Street. Featuring established data scientists who represent the growing

At the grand opening, Metis will reaffirm its commitment to diversity in
tech by introducing a new $3,000 bootcamp scholarship for lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender and queer applicants. Currently, Metis provides
bootcamp scholarships for women, underrepresented demographic groups,
and veterans or members of the U.S. military.“We are thrilled to join Chicago’s growing and vibrant data science
