MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Award-winning author Kate
Hosford’s new picture book Feeding
the Flying Fanellis, published by Carolrhoda
Books, a division of Lerner
Publishing Group, centers on the lives of circus performers through
the eyes of the person who feeds them: the chef! With whimsical,
detailed illustrations by celebrated illustrator Cosei Kawa, this
collection of poems will have kids planning to run away to the circus—to
sample the chef’s fantastic culinary feats.
What do you feed a trapeze family to keep them up in the air? Or a lion
with a gourmet palate? These imaginative poems reveal what fuels a crew
of circus performers―special meals prepared by their tireless chef!
Readers will delight in the eccentricities of each performer and the
intricacies of rhyme and illustration in Feeding
the Flying Fanellis.
