Thompson Hine’s Build-A-Backpack Program Continues Tradition of School Donations

Law Firm and the Association of Corporate Counsel New Jersey Deliver
250 Backpacks to Children

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–In its eighth year as primary sponsor of the event, Thompson
Hine LLP
has once again worked with the Association of Corporate
Counsel New Jersey (ACCNJ) on its annual Build-A-Backpack school supply
donation event, a winning collaboration of the two organizations.

Hundreds of excited kindergarten and first grade students this year each
received a backpack filled to the brim with back-to-school supplies and
new books for their classes at Charles H. Stillman, DeWitt D. Barlow and
Jefferson Elementary Schools in Plainfield, New Jersey. This year’s
backpack donation reached the largest number of students to date.
Corporate counsel and staff from New York and New Jersey businesses made
the special deliveries to the students on September 10.

Rebecca Brazzano, Thompson Hine partner and chair of the law firm’s
outreach subcommittee, has coordinated the firm’s participation each
year. “We strive to give back to the community in a meaningful, tangible
way. Our Diversity & Inclusion Initiative looks for opportunities to
participate in community outreach efforts like this one in all of the
communities in which our firm has offices,” Brazzano said. “One of our
