TXU Energy Earns Spot Among Top 100 Places to Work in 2014

The Dallas Morning News named TXU Energy among the top 100 companies to work for in its annual “Top 100 Places to Work” competition, which “celebrates employers who go the distances for their staffs,” according to The Dallas Morning News website.

In its first year of participation in the survey, TXU Energy placed No. 21 in the large company category (more than 500 employees) among over 315 competitors in the small, midsized and large company categories.

Approximately 80 percent of TXU Energy’s workforce responded to the anonymous survey conducted by third-party WorkplaceDynamics. Comprised of 22 questions, the survey asked employees to answer how true they believe certain statements to be about topics such as company values, organizational health, work-life balance, leadership, culture and corporate engagement.

The rank order of the top 100 companies was unveiled at The Dallas Morning News Top 100 Places to Work banquet on Friday, Nov. 14, where Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings delivered a keynote message driving home the importance of centering a business around its people, building a culture of reward and recognition, and fostering an environment of creativity and competition.

The rankings and overall results are featured in the Top 100 Places to Work 2014 online and in a special publication inserted in The Dallas Morning News on Sunday, Nov. 16.
